The day has finally come; the launch of InBetween Studio and my shot at blogging. Some of you, if any, might know about my big leap of faith in starting my own design studio, it has been one of the scariest most exciting months in my design career- still is! Even though I might not be as established as many designers out there, who are famous for their spectacular design work or their intriguing blogging skills, what do I have to lose in expressing myself and getting my work out there?

With that said, I guess I should make a proper introduction as to who I am and what my studio has to offer. First of all, my name is Sandra, I have big hair that has a life of its own and I'm a 'Halfie'. For those who don't know what a 'Halfie' is, it's when a person is a half of two different cultures (a word my fellow 'Halfie' friends and I came up with). In my case, I'm a Spaniard/American. This type of 'breed' tends to have an identity crisis and have way too many options available in life, which can feel quite overwhelming (the irony, I know...). More on that when you get to know me better, if you want to get to know me better that is...

On a more important note, the official website for my studio is out there! I've poured many months of hard work and many difficult decisions into it, and it's finally here. It's a surreal feeling to have taken the plunge on something that I never thought I was capable of doing. Luckily, I've had a lot of support from friends and family and hopefully this turns into something great. I'm not expecting to be famous and be the best designer out there (although it would be nice), I just want to be successful (like Drake, haha?) at doing what I love and helping other entrepreneurs follow their dreams as well.

I don't want to end this blog post without giving a special thanks to my friend and talented Copyeditor, Samantha Alzuria, a fellow 'Halfie'. If it weren't for her skills, InBetween would not have been the same. Here's a little excerpt of her work and what my design studio has to offer:

InBetween is an independent design studio passionate about finding beauty in every idea and building professional relationships based on honesty and transparency. Our mission is to guide creatives, small businesses and start-ups on a journey beginning with a concept and ending with its realization, while finding inspiration from the in-between.

I know this blog post was a long one, and I promise future posts won't be. Unless it's a Sandra rant, in which case I can make no promises...I can't wait for what the future has in store, I'm hoping to meet many talented, quirky creatives out there through my blog and work.

Till next time!
